I'm a First-Generation American who grew up in the southside of Providence, RI. I was raised in a home that embraced Dominican and American values, so I have a deep appreciation and reverence for languages and the cultural diversity in the world.
I like to think of myself as an outgoing person with a deep curiosity to learn, so I like to read a lot.
In my career life, I was [still am] a public servant who worked in local government and the state of Rhode Island, the world of higher education, and non-profit organizations.
